Ustadh Soufiane Abbadi is a Moroccan artist with a masters in pure mathematics. During his youth, Ustadh Soufiane was fascinated by the Islamic geometric patterns on the walls left behind by the urban civilizations of the Moravid and Marinid. Subsequently, as a mathematician, he has explored the beauty of many of these tiles, aiming to decode their geometric secrets. His approach to Islamic geometry was presented to experts in the US, France, Germany, and Morocco. In March 2018, Ustadh Soufiane’s exhibits were held in Paris at the Maison Soufie and in Morocco at the King Hassan II Mosque Library.
